Free book, for independent restaurant owners. Out November 15.

WHY MOST RESTAURANTS FAIL,

AND HOW TO AVOID IT.

Your food is better, but your dining room is still empty. It's not just about food anymore!

Restaurant Rise walks down the seven layers a restaurant is built on, shows you where each one breaks, and shows you how to keep yours from breaking at every level.

IT IS 7:30 ON A FRIDAY AND YOU ARE ON THE LINE.

Not because you want to be. Because the closer quit by text on Tuesday, the new guy cannot hold ticket times, and if you step away from the pass for ten minutes, the whole night falls apart.

And somewhere down the street, there is a corporate place with frozen food, bored staff, and a packed dining room. You have eaten there. You know your food is better.

Then you ask yourself, "What am I missing?" That question has an answer, and it is almost never the one you have been sold.

Why this is not another restaurant marketing book

ALMOST EVERY RESTAURANT MARKETS.

ALMOST NONE OF THEM HAVE A MARKETING PROBLEM.

Every book written for restaurant owners assumes the fix is based on the author's experience or what they are trying to sell you!

Coaches will tell you it's your operations, numbers, or people, and marketers will tell you to post more, run this promotion, redo the website, buy these ads.

The truth is they are probably both right!

Restaurants do not fail in one place. They fail at whichever of seven layers is weakest!

A restaurant is built in seven layers, and they only work bottom up. The owner, then the product and the service, then the brand, then operations, then sales, then marketing, and reputation last, because reputation is not something you build. It is what the six layers underneath leave behind.

Marketing sits sixth for a reason. It multiplies what is beneath it. Pour ads on a tired owner, a menu that will not ship reliably on a busy night, and a crew that turns over every six weeks, and you have not fixed anything. You have paid to show more people what's wrong with your restaurant.

So the book does not start with marketing. It starts at the bottom and walks up, and at every layer it asks you one honest question: is this one right?

The layer where the answer is no is the only one worth spending money on.

 SEVEN LAYERS.

ONE CHAPTER EACH.

A SCORE AT THE END OF EVERY ONE.

1- The Owner

Is the restaurant waiting on you for things it should not be?

2- Product & Service

Does food quality and service hold up at 7:30 on a Friday, or only on a slow Tuesday?

3- Branding

Would anyone drive past two other places to get to yours, and could they say why?

4- Operations

Does the night run the same when you are not in the building?

5- Sales

Is your team selling, or taking orders?

6- Marketing

Can you name one thing you spent money on and say what it brought back?

7- Reputation

Are guests arriving because someone sent them?

If you take one thing from the book, take the order. Working the layers out of sequence is the single most expensive mistake independent restaurants make, and it is the one nobody gets warned about.

Who wrote it

BY A RESTAURANT OWNER, FOR RESTAURANT OWNERS.

Ahmed Abdelrehim ran Cairo 2 Go in Morgantown, West Virginia, from September 2017 to July 2021. He worked the line, signed the payroll, took the 6 a.m. produce deliveries, and closed on Saturdays.

In 2020, with the dining room closed by state order, that restaurant doubled its sales. Two ghost-kitchen concepts built out of the same kitchen, and a marketing system wired to orders instead of impressions. Not because anybody was a genius. Because there was no choice, and because the layers underneath the marketing were already solid enough to take the weight.

He has owned businesses for 18 years, on three continents, starting in 2008. The seven layers are not a content framework somebody built to fill a book. They are the order he had to fix, grow, and scale his own restaurant and other businesses.

Why it is free

BECAUSE MOST RESTAURANTS SHOULD NOT BE HIRING AN AGENCY.

We only take on restaurants doing $45,000 a month or more, because below that a paid engine does not pay for itself and selling you one anyway would be the exact thing we complain about other agencies doing.

That leaves out most independent restaurants in this country. And the honest thing about the ones it leaves out is that they usually do not have a marketing problem at all. They have a layer underneath it that is leaking, and no agency was ever going to fix that for them.

So this is the part we give away. All seven layers, the whole diagnosis, the same one we walk a paying client through on a first call.

No restaurant left behind. This is our promise to you!

FIND OUT WHICH LAYER IS COSTING YOU.

About three hours to read. Seven scores at the end of it. And a very clear path for success after you are done!
