Restaurant Rise helps restaurant owners grow. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies when you visit restaurantrise.com, fill out a form, book a call, download our book, buy or join the Restaurant Rise Academy, or receive our emails and text messages (together, our "Services").

The short version

• We collect the information you give us, plus basic information about how you use our website.
• We use it to answer you, deliver what you asked for, and send the messages you agreed to receive.
• We do not sell your personal information for money.
• We never share your mobile number or your text message consent with anyone for their own marketing.
• You can unsubscribe from emails, reply STOP to texts, or ask us to delete your information at any time.

1. Who we are

Restaurant Rise, LLC ("Restaurant Rise," "we," "us," or "our") is a Pennsylvania limited liability company.

2. What this policy does not cover

• Restaurants we work for. When a restaurant hires us, we may send offers, reminders or other messages to that restaurant's guests on the restaurant's behalf, and store guest information in systems we run for that restaurant. In those cases we act as the restaurant's service provider, and the restaurant's own privacy policy explains how it uses its guests' information. Questions about those messages should go to the restaurant.
• Client agreements. If your restaurant has a signed service agreement with us, or uses the Restaurant Rise.AI platform, that agreement also covers how we handle your business's information.
• Other websites. Our Services link to other websites and platforms, such as social media. Their own privacy policies apply there.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us.

• Contact details: your name, email address, phone number, and mailing or billing address.
• Business details: your restaurant's name and location, your role, and what you share with us about your restaurant.
• What you tell us in forms, emails, texts, surveys and calls.
• Purchase details when you buy from us. Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card number.

Information collected automatically. When you use our website, we and our partners collect your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you stay, the page or ad that brought you to us, and similar usage information. We collect this with cookies, pixels and similar tools. Section 6 explains these tools and how to control them.

Email tracking. Our emails contain small images and tracked links that tell us whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. We use this to see what is useful to you and to keep our list healthy.

Information from other sources. We collect business contact information about restaurants and their owners from public sources, such as restaurant websites, online listings and review sites, deal sites, social media and public business records, and from business data providers. We use it to contact restaurant owners about our Services.

Calls. When you have a call with us, we may record and transcribe it, including with an AI note-taking tool, so we can follow up accurately. We tell you at the start of the call. If you do not want the call recorded, tell us and we will turn recording off.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

• answer your questions and requests;
• schedule your calls and send confirmations and reminders;
• deliver the book, the Academy and the other resources you ask for, and handle purchases and refunds;
• provide our services to the restaurants we work with;
• send you the emails and text messages you agreed to receive (see Section 5);
• contact restaurant owners about our Services at their business contact details;
• understand how our website and ads perform, and improve them;
• prevent fraud and abuse, protect our business, follow the law, and enforce our Terms of Use.

We use software tools to do this work, including AI tools that help us research restaurants, take call notes and draft messages. Those tools are service providers under Section 7.

5. Emails and text messages

Emails. We send emails about your requests and purchases. If you join our list, we also send newsletters, resources and offers. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. If you unsubscribe, we may still send emails about a purchase or an account you have with us.

Text messages (SMS). Our forms have two text message consent boxes, and you check both to submit a form. Restaurant Rise may then text you at the number you provide. These messages include:

• Service messages (first box): replies about your inquiry, confirmations and reminders for calls you book, and updates about your account or purchases.
• Marketing messages (second box): offers, promotions, new resources, events and updates from Restaurant Rise.

Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also opt out by emailing [email protected]. Our full text message terms are in our Terms of Use.

Your mobile information is not shared. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We share it only with the service providers that deliver our messages, such as our messaging platform and mobile carriers, and only so they can deliver them. All other sharing described in this policy excludes text messaging opt-in data and consent. That information will not be shared with any third parties.

6. Cookies, pixels and advertising tools

We use, or may use, tools from other companies on our website, including:

• Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use our site;
• Google Ads tags, to measure and show our ads on Google and YouTube;
• the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, to measure and show our ads on Facebook and Instagram;
• the TikTok Pixel, to measure and show our ads on TikTok;
• the cookies our website, booking and CRM platform needs to run our forms, scheduling and page analytics.

These tools use cookies, pixels and similar technology to record what you do on our site, such as viewing a page, submitting a form or booking a call. We use this to measure our ads and to show our ads to people who visited our site, or to people with similar interests. These companies may collect information directly from your browser, such as your IP address and device identifiers, and may combine it with other information they hold about you. Their own privacy policies apply to what they collect.

We may also share a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address with Google or Meta, so we can show you relevant ads or stop showing you ads for something you already did. We never share phone numbers collected through text message consent this way.

Your choices:

• Your browser: block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of our site may not work without them.
• Google: manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com, and opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
• Meta: go to Settings, then Ads preferences, in Facebook or Instagram.
• TikTok: go to Settings and privacy, then Ads, in the TikTok app.
• Industry opt-outs: optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.
• Your phone: use your phone's privacy settings to limit ad tracking and ad personalization.

Do Not Track. Our website does not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

7. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only in these situations:

• Service providers. Companies that help us run our business, such as website, CRM and email hosting, text message delivery, scheduling and video calls, payment processing, call recording and transcription, analytics, and advertising. They may use it only to provide services to us.
• Advertising partners. As described in Section 6.
• Public areas. If you post in a community, comment section or review area we run, other people can see what you post.
• Related companies. Companies under common ownership with Restaurant Rise that help us run our business. They must protect it under this policy.
• Legal reasons. When required by law, court order or a government request, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.
• Business changes. If we are involved in a merger, sale of assets, financing or reorganization, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
• With your permission. For any other purpose you agree to.

Some state privacy laws treat the use of advertising pixels as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, even when no money changes hands. To the extent those laws apply to us, you can opt out using the choices in Section 6 or by emailing [email protected].

8. Your rights and choices

• Emails: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
• Texts: reply STOP to any message.
• Access, correction and deletion: email [email protected] to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it. We will confirm your identity first and respond within 45 days. We may keep some information when the law requires it, such as purchase and tax records, and we keep a record of your opt-out so we can honor it.

State privacy rights. Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and other states with privacy laws, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to access, correct or delete it, to get a copy of it, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale" or "sharing" of your information. We honor these rights as required by the law that applies to us. You can make a request yourself or through an authorized agent. We will not treat you differently for using your rights. If we turn down your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision.

California "Shine the Light." We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.

9. How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as we need it for the reasons in this policy, such as while you are on our list, a customer or a client, and for as long as we need it for taxes, accounting, legal claims and honoring opt-outs. After that, we delete it or remove the details that identify you.

10. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No website, email or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

Our Services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

12. Where information is stored

We are based in the United States, and our Services are meant for people in the United States. Your information is stored and processed in the United States.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make a significant change, we will also post a notice on our website or email you.
